Hillside TRA have promoted recycling in the area over the last few years. To cut the waiting time for Blue Box's and White Sacks we asked the Council if we could stock a small amount. I am pleased to say that we have run out again ! 

NEW VISITORS CENTRE

TO OPEN

Whitelee wind farm's visitors centre is set to open by this October. The Scottish Executive has given to build the largest onshore Wind Farm in Europe. And it's right here in East Renfrewshire.Located in Eaglesham 140 Wind Turbines generating a total of 322 m.w. of power. This wind Farm will prevent emissions of over 650,000 tons of Carbon Dioxide every year.

They are at the forefront of getting people to Recycle
Formed in March 08 they already have over 500 contacts

The Organization has now set up a Waste Action Group and will soon be launching some Initiatives such as small battery collections and Food waste recycling. 
 

Councillor Eddie Phillips who is the Chairperson of the group said 'Community Recycling campaigns are a crucial part of recycling'

EARTH HOUR 28TH MARCH 2009

Go-Greener's Chairperson Councillor Eddie Phillips  has asked us to tell you about a world wide advent called Earth Hour.
On the 28th of March Go Greener are asking everyone who can, to turn there lights of at 8.30 for 1 hour.
